The New Hip Hop.

For those of you who follow Kanye West's blog (or another blog that follows Kanye's blog) you might remember when Mr. West himself said that Soulja Boy exemplifies the future of hip hop:
"Soulja boy is fresh ass hell and is actually the true meaning of what hip hop is sposed to be. He came from the hood, made his own beats, made up a new saying, new sound and a new dance with one song."

As much as I like Kanye I'm going to have to disagree. THEOPHILUS LONDON is the next greatest thing in soul/new wave/pop or what also sometimes sounds like a new kinda hip hop.
Straight out of Brooklyn, London creates new, fun beats that make it impossible to turn off your Ipod. His latest mixtape, I WANT YOU is influenced by Marvin Gaye and is almost too perfect. The sounds touch on "LA electrofunk, UK indie, tropical escapade and obscure afropop you never knew existed."

Mr. London, I WANT YOU too
