ArT

Pop Art, welcome to Madison Avenue.

Earlier this year the Gagosian Gallery opened up its very own store front on Madison Ave and 77th street. And let me tell you, this corner has never looked better. The bright colors spill from inside the store onto the street enticing all who walk by to stop in for a quick visit. From the windows you can see fun sculptures and all kinds of practical art that will make any true pop art fan breath heavily after one look.

The first floor holds art from the likes of Andy Warhol to Jeff Koons among others and has tables and shelves filled with art books to suit everyone's needs. When you get to the back of the store, don't be afraid to walk downstairs which is an exclusive Damien Hirst gallery showing off everything from his flower and cigarette wallpaper to his paint splashed skulls.

And if your looking to buy something from this one-of-a-kind store you don't need to be hauling in a 6 figure income. You can buy unframed posters for as little as $30 and if you really want to buy something, but have limited cash the Gagosian has a variety of mostly useless chachkes for around $5. Obviously, along with these sweet nothings there are pieces of art that call for you to dig deep into those pockets and shell out hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Even if you don't buy a thing half the fun is just looking around.
